Photography by Vicky Pink - On Thursday, August 1, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Texas Children’s Hospital as Let the Fashions Begin held a day of artistic expression. Featured artists for this year’s Let the Fashions Begin gala brought joy to the Texas Children’s Hospital Sickle Cell Ward through art. Artists were paired with patients to create works of art that will be auctioned off at the gala. Let the Fashions Begin was established in 1995 by Judge Clarease Rankin Yates to raise money for the Sickle Cell Association of Gulf Texas. Annually they host a fundraising gala to support their efforts. This year’s gala will be November 13, 2013 at6pm at Hotel ZaZa under the theme “Dare to Dream.”
