Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, August 24, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Mosaic Bar and Lounge as Dr. Latisha Rowe and Houston Style Magazine presented RNC – Rowetation Nutritional Challenge Summer Soiree & Fundraiser. NFL great Tim Carter was the official host. Presenting sponsors the University of Miami Alumni Association, Carters Kids and the Rowe Alliance hosted the cocktail hour where all were invited to mix and mingle with the power players of Houston’s health and fitness industry. A silent auction was held with such things as Gite Gallery Artwork, Inner Me Studios fitness package, photo shoot by Joyce Kang, and much more. A portion of the proceeds will be used to develop RNC childhood obesity camp (pending 501c3) and help raise health awareness in all communities disproportionately affected by obesity. The host committee for the affair included Dawna Boone, Rena Jenkins, Andre Evans, Crystal Hadnott, Johnathan Holland, Arlene Nash, Johneca Broussard, Jermaine Patterson, Rozell Jones, and Jackie-Neicy Mondaine. Some in attendance were City Councilman Larry Green, Isis Reed, Marina Udowenko, Doneika Mondaine, Crystal Love, Lilla Pittman Sweet, Lorraine McKinney, Mary Rodriguez, Arthur Obiadazie, Tiffany and Jeremy Reedus.
