Photography by Roswitha Vogler. On Thursday, January 31, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Americas – River Oaks for the L’Art Nouveau Masquerade Ball - Peinture a Les Etoiles. Hosted by The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston, local celebrities were paired with area artists for a collaborative creative work of art. The art fundraiser featured a live auction. Local celebs and artists included Mayor Annise Parker, Connor Barwin, Shelby Hodge, Peter Remington, Michael Garfield, Hanh Tran, Grant Manier, Taft McWhorter, Allan Rodewald, Katarina Conrad, and Queens of Creativity. Reggie Jamz and the Rockland Band, Virtuosi of Houston provided musical entertainment. The event was honorary chaired by David Cordua. Sonia Azad served as emcee while Tye Blue was the auctioneer. Others in attendance were MOCAH President Reginald Adams, Rhonda Adams, Amanda Flores, Sam Turner, Todd Nunnally, Leah Barton, Huan Le, Macy Bodenhamer, Antoine Bryant, and Dan Rueda.
