Photography by Vicky Pink - On Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand in Washington, DC at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration for the World Youth Foundation Workshop for AVOICE students. The seminar was hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Houston high school students explored the legislative contributions of African Americans in Congress through an interactive workshop. The workshop featured activities from the CBCF Avoice Virtual Library Ffr Educators Section available at www.avoiceonline.org as well as a tour of the National Archives. Some in attendance were Karen Franklin, Anthony Freddie, Ronald George, Amir Pink, Kailah Pink and the rest of the World Youth Foundation students, sponsors and chaperones.
