Photography by Vicky Pink - On Friday, September 20, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Josephine’s in Washington, DC for the Official State of Texas Congressional Black Caucus 2013 Reception. Young professionals and current and aspiring Public Servants hosted the affair that attracted political elite that represent the Lone Star State. Special guests included Congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee and Eddie Bernice Johnson; Congressmen Al Green and Mark Veasey; Senators Rodney Ellis and Royce West; State Reps. Sylvester Turner, Borris Miles, Ron Reynolds, and Eric Johnson; Houston City Controller Ronald Green; Houston City Council Members Larry Green, Wanda Adams, Andres C. Burks, Jerry Davis, and C. O. Bradford; and Dallas City Council Members Mayor Pro Tem Tennel Atkins, Carolyn Davis, and Vonceil Jones Hill.
