Photography by Roswitha Vogler On Saturday, April 26, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Camp Hope and Houston Food Bank for the 13th Annual Comcast Cares Day. Ten of thousands of Comcast and NBCUniversal employees, their families and friends, and a host of community partners gave back to their communities in the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort. In the Houston area employees supported the PTSD Foundation of America, AAMA and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. More than 400 volunteers helped to refurbish Camp Hope, an interim home base for veterans and their families. Nick Wilks, associate director of Camp Hope in Houston, accepted a $25,000 check from Comcast. Additional volunteers helped out at The Houston Food Bank.
