Photography by Vicky Pink On Saturday, June 21, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hilton Americas Hotel for the Houston Area Urban League’s (HAUL) 46th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Gala. Under the theme “The Magic of Delivering Help Today and Hope for Tomorrow,” HAUL honored the partnership and community works of five outstanding Houston-area organizations and community figures including Southwest Airlines, John Hofmeister, UPS, Chip Carlisle, and Allstate Insurance. Ric Campo, President and CEO of Camden and Chairman of Houston First Corporation’s Board of Directors, was the 2014 Honorary Chairman of the annual fundraiser dedicated to benefit operations and the emerging needs of HAUL. Some in attendance with President and CEO of HAUL Judson Robinson III were Khambrel Marshall, Juanna Collins, Mark Thierry, Terry Williams, State Senator Wendy Davis, Carey Yates, Judge Clarease Rankin Yates, Eric Goodie, Judy Foston, Rev. Leslie Smith, Francis Page Jr., Sylvia Brooks, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Phyllis Bailey, Bryce Kennard, Wanda Adams, James Harris, Courtney Gilmore, City Councilman Jack Christie, Sate Rep. Senfronia Thompson, Susie Stillwell, Burt Levine, Lisa Valadez, Trevior Mays, CoCo Dominguez, Gabrielle Deculus, Mary Benton, and Jo-Carolyn Goode.
