Photography by Roswitha Vogler - On Wednesday, May 7, 2014 Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Tootsies for Recipe for Success’ Dress for Dinner: The Fashion Gene Awards. Event chairs Leisa Holland and Laura Max Nelson invited guests to dinner and a fashion show honoring Houston’s Most Stylish Mothers and Daughters. The 2014 honorees were Yolanda Adams & Taylor Crawford; Cheryl Kyrstin & Kacie Boblitt; Tracy Elklund & Jackie Geaccone; Karen Garcia & Kristin Garcia Blomquist; Susan Kelly & Lori Krohn; Kelley & Elise Lubanko; Susan & Kendall Plank; Virginia Steppe & Alissa Maples; and Ileana & Mari Trevino. Others featured at the affair were Culture Map’s Clifford Pugh and Chef Barbara McKnight. Some in attendance were Gracie Cavnar, Karina Barbieri, Michael Pearson, Roland Garcia, Jackie Fair, Sharon Henderson Sanders, Kim Padgett, Alex Martinez, and Alex Blair.
