Photography by Vicky Pink On Saturday, September 13, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Tom Bass Park for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) 29th Annual Walk for Education. Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker served as the Honorary Chair and Marcus and Melvinie Davis served as the 2014 Walk Chairs. By raising funds, walk participants helped to save our historical black colleges and universities (HBCU’s) and provide financial assistance for the children from our community. Some in attendance were Juanna Collins, Jade Gold, Percy Cruezot III, Zoe Cadore, James Harris, City Councilman Dwight Boykins, Darian Ward, Gene Locke, Terry Williams, and Francis Page Jr. and Kristyn Page.
