A Houston minister has just been indicted for embezzling more than $800,000 from Houston First Baptist Church. Patch.com reports that a Harris County grand jury indicted Jerrell Altic, 40, on accussation of taking the money starting in 2011.

Rosanette and Harry Cullen were presented with the Margaret Alkek Williams Humanitarian Award for their extraordinary contributions to the causes of children, health and education in the city of Houston and the state of Texas through the Cullen Foundation. Emceed by Deborah Duncan, host of Great Day Houston, the evening featured a live performance by Grammy Award®winning recording artist and humanitarian Michael Bolton and an appearance by Mayor Sylvester Turner. Funds raised at the event will support UNICEF’s work to end child trafficking in the United States and around the world.
