Jesse Jackson Rainbow PUSH Coalition
Members of the Rainbow PUSH Wall Street Project convened at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel Wednesday to discuss a report they recently published, documenting struggles minority businesses face in dealing with major corporations today. RELATED: Register Now for the Rainbow PUSH Wall Street Project Economic Summit Moderator Julianne Malveaux (pictured right of Don Graves at the podium) spoke about African-American spending power not translating into gains in corporate boardrooms. "They didn't think about giving us a slice, because perhaps we had not demanded it," the Last Word Productions president said. "The Wall Street Project is a demand; it's a demand that Corporate America treat African-American people, and other un[der]represented people, fairly."

Hit Fit Party presented by HIT America and Houston Style
On Saturday, February 15, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Mosaic Bar and Lounge as HIT America and Houston Style Magazine presented Fit Party. Hosted by Houston Style Magazine Health Editor Dr. Latisha Rowe, the Fit Party was way for fitness lovers and those wanting to get in shape to work up a sweat. One lucky guest received $250 as a door prize. Refreshments were served. Some in attendance were Isis Reed, Tiffany Howell-Reedus, Gracie Jean-Pierre, LaShaune DeJean, Takijah Heard, Lucia Briand, Jonathan Holland, Arthur Obiadazie, Rozell Deneen Jones, and Stacy Kent.

The Retrieval Synopsis: On the outskirts of the Civil War, an orphaned boy is sent north by a bounty hunter to retrieve a wanted man under false pretenses. During their arduous journey back, the initially distant pair form an unexpected bond. And the boy is consumed with conflicting emotions and a gut-wrenching decision: betray the father figure he's finally found. Or, risk the same deadly demise as the man in his charge.
