Qualified organizations receive donations up to $100 per stateroom with group bookings
Holland America Line’s Charity Group Cruise Program is aiming to help historically black colleges and universities raise one million dollars. For every group booking made by organizations that support HBCUs, Holland America Line will donate $50 per stateroom on seven- to 11-day cruises and $100 per stateroom on cruises 12 days or longer after the first five staterooms.

Health authorities urge residents to stay home and social distance
It is with great sadness that Harris County Public Health (HCPH) is reporting the second COVID-19 related death of a resident in Harris County (outside the City of Houston). The woman, between the ages of 50-60 years old, lived in the northwest quadrant of Harris County. She had known exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case and had underlying health issues. She was tested positive with COVID-19 after death and Harris County Institute of Forensic Science determined her primary cause of death as COVID-19.

Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans Day of Service
Today, the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans (AAMA) will host a special Day of Service in honor of legacy civic leaders Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. Students and staff from AAMA’s two George I. Sanchez Charter Schools will volunteer at both Houston campuses to update on-site murals, stain a back fence, pick up trash on the property, mulch and trim bushes, among various other beautification projects. The one-day service event is intended to honor the memory and legacy of Chavez and Huerta ahead of this year’s Cesar Chavez Day on March 31, 2022 and Dolores Huerta Day on April 10, 2022.
