History has a funny way of repeating itself. It has been twelve years since the last category three or stronger hurricane made landfall on the United States soil. Ironically, it was also the last time the Houston Astros made it to the World Series.

From the Bottom to the Top: Houston Astros Are World Series Champions
The Houston Astros are the 2017 World Series Champions. Ok. For Houston Astros fans, I know you don’t believe what you just read, so I will say it again. The best team in baseball for 2017 is your Houston Astros. This is the same team that at one point during the regular season in 2013 had a 14-million-dollar payroll on the field. They were the running joke of Major League Baseball for losing more than 100 games for three straight seasons and were nicknamed the “Lastros” by some fans.

Three Harmony Public Schools campuses named official ‘National Schools of Character'
In total, Harmony now has seven National School of Character campuses and 13 State School of Character came
Three Houston campuses from Harmony Public Schools were named official “National Schools of Character” Tuesday for their outstanding efforts in promoting cultures of character in their schools and communities. The awards were announced by Character.org, a national advocate and leader for character development in schools.

Honoring Josue Flores: METRO today joined the Houston Independent School District and community partners in unveiling a new bus shelter at Northside High School. Josue would have graduated from Northside in May, and METRO dedicates this shelter memorial in his honor.
