HOV/HOT Lanes to Open Weekends for Summer Pilot Program
The Express Lanes that help you avoid traffic on weekdays will soon be open seven days a week as part of a regional pilot mobility program approved by METRO's Board of Directors today. HOV/HOT (Express) Lanes managed by METRO will be open on weekends beginning Saturday, July 2 through Monday, Sept. 5. This includes the Fourth of July and Labor Day holidays. Weekend and holiday operations will follow the same schedule, occupancy requirements and tolls as weekdays.

Burns Original Bar-B-Que Is Opening New Location In Pearland This Weekend!
4ht of July Weekend just got better! In celebration of the 1-year anniversary of their first Kroger Bistro location in Summerwood, Burns Original Bar-B-Que announces the grand opening of their new bistro location in Pearland, TX! This Saturday, July 2nd, Burns will open their 2nd Bistro restaurant inside Shadow Creek Kroger. Their partnership with Kroger started in 2019 with Burns debuting their signature Bar-B-Que sauce in selected locations which eventually led to Burns having products in over 21 stores. During the Pandemic, Burns hosted weekly pop-ups at various Kroger locations where they sold Bar-B-Que sandwiches, chips, and drinks. The success of their pop-ups led them to open a Bistro in Kroger Summer 2021. Not only did Burns make history as the first Black-Owned Restaurant in Kroger, but during the 2022 Rodeo season, they made history by being one of the only Black-Owned Bar-B-Que tents.
