Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs Awards $30,000 to Digitally Innovative Arts and Cultural Works
Today, the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (MOCA) announced that it is awarding $30,000 in grants to 12 individuals and nonprofit organizations who’ve imagined their work in the digital realm utilizing streaming services, virtual reality, and digital curation to deliver manifested live concerts, theatre performances, and literary concepts; all in online-only platforms.

H-E-B Quest for Texas Best Houston Finalists First Taste
Houston Style Magazine Managing Editor Jo-Carolyn Goode was on hand at H-E-B's Private Media Preview to get a first taste of the products from the eight Houston-area food entrepreneurs who made the top 25 finalists of this year’s Quest for Texas Best statewide food competition. Out of 560 applicants from across the state, the top 25 finalists have moved to the next judging round and one step closer for cash prizes and being sold on H-E-B shelves. Additional details are attached for the top 25 finalists.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Houston Public Library
It’s the Year of the Dog and the Houston Public Library’s Living Room Series Program is inviting the community to celebrate the Lunar New Year at a neighborhood library. Everyone will enjoy the fun colorful events and plenty of delicious food. The events are free and open to the public.
