The upcoming show, “Wynton Marsalis: Swingin’ Through H-Town,” closes out Jazz Houston’s inaugural 2017-2018 season and is hosted in partnership with KTSU, 90.9FM.

Now in its second year, the annual Alumni & Friends Celebration Dinner benefits the University’s Compass Points Fund in support of student success. In anticipation of UHD’s 50th anniversary year, two check presentations of $50,000 each—one from steadfast supporter Marilyn Davies and the other from T Mobile were made, bolstering the total funds raised to more than $300,000.

HISD Statement On Safety Protocols
Implementation of strong safety protocols for students and staff during face-to-face instruction remains the top priority in the Houston Independent School District. After continued review and guidance from health and education officials, HISD is updating its process for moving between COVID-19 Gauge levels to ensure multiple metrics are considered, including from both the Harris County Public Health Department and the Houston Health Department, as well as an ongoing assessment of reported cases and data trends in our district.
