Mayor Turner and Bun B Announce "Trill Burger Pop-Up" at Houston City Hall for a Family Friendly Event
City Hall * Sunday, September 18, 2022 * 3pm-7pm
Hosted at Houston City Hall (901 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002) in downtown Houston from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, the pop-up will feature Trill Burgers’ full menu, including the OG Trill Burger, Grilled Onion Burger, Vegan Smashburger, and seasoned fries, with burgers for sale on a first-come, first-served basis until they sell out.

Public Art UHS marks the opening of the installation with a series of events October 19, 20 and 21
Public Art of the University of Houston System (Public Art UHS), an arts organization that serves multiple campuses across the UH System and the greater Houston community, unveils its newest temporary installation: Folly by Mexico-based Cuban-American artist Jorge Pardo. This work marks the third project in Public Art UHS’s temporary public art program and the second site-specific Grove Commission developed for Wilhelmina’s Grove, a serene on-campus gathering space anchoring the UH Arts District. The Temporary Public Art Program of the University of Houston System is generously supported by The Brown Foundation, Inc.

The 35th Annual Houston Art Car Parade Weekend presented by Team Gillman (April 7-10) announced Bun B as the grand marshal of the 2022 parade, slated to roll through downtown on Saturday, April 9. Bun B follows in the footsteps of luminaries such as Cheech Marin, Dan Aykroyd, J.J. Watt, The Art Guys, Annise Parker, Kinky Friedman, Lynn Wyatt and George Clinton, to name a few.

Houston Texans Founder, Senior Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert C. McNair passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife, Janice, sons, Cal and Cary, daughters, Ruth and Melissa, 15 grandchildren (10 granddaughters, five grandsons) and two great grandsons.

The Foundation for Jones Hall (FJH) announces renovation plans for Jones Hall, Houston’s iconic performing arts center, focused on significantly improving patron, musician and artist experiences. This renewal is designed to bring the building up to the highest standards in technology and operations, while incorporating modern amenities. Renovations, which range from state-of-the-art acoustical and infrastructure improvements to new, relocated restrooms; new, wider stairways; an expanded Green Room and lobby expansion/improvements, will continue over the coming summers and will build upon the first phase of renovations completed in 2020 and 2021.
