WatchHerWork Hosts Inaugural Texas Female Founders Day and Ford Female Founders Lab at SXSW 2020
Texas female founders participate in transformative workshops designed specifically for them.
Denise Hamilton, founder and CEO of WatchHerWork.com, a digital learning platform for professional women, and Reda Hicks, founder and CEO of GotSpot Inc., announced the WatchHerWork Texas Female Founders Day to take place as a kickoff event during South by Southwest (SXSW) 2020, one of the world’s largest conferences focused on technology, music, film and culture. Female Founders Day is an interactive experience geared toward women business owners in the state of Texas who are looking for more resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The free event takes place on March 12, 2020, at Austin Community College Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd., Austin, TX) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Most fans would start looking over the list of free agents that would be available and hoping that new general manager and head coach Bill O’Brien would bring in players to improve the team. Anything to help pass the time until the first game of the 2020 NFL season.

Today, the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools released its annual ranking of state charter school laws, Measuring Up to the Model: A Ranking of State Public Charter School Laws, Eleventh Edition in conjunction with National School Choice Week. For more than a decade, this report has analyzed how well each state aligns its charter school law to the "gold standard" model law, A Model Law for Supporting the Growth of High-Quality Charter Schools: Second Edition. States are ranked by their composite score, which is based on 21 critical benchmarks like accountability, authorization, flexibility, performance-based contracts, and funding equity.
