CHAPPIE Trailer
A new trailer for Chappie, a robot movie by District 9 writer and director, Neill Blomkamp has been released and we get to see a bit more of the actual story surrounding Chappie. I’ve got to admit, it looks pretty cool. This trailer is leaps and bounds over the first trailer we saw for this film. While a cute, goofy robot (voiced by a Blomkamp favorite, Sharlto Copley) is a fun idea in theory, it definitely didn’t seem like a strong enough concept to center an entire movie around. And maybe I’m alone on this one, but it seemed like the film wasn’t going to be much beyond a modern Pinocchio adaptation. At some point, watching a robot discover the world around him starts to get old. I’m pretty relieved with this trailer to see that there’s a bit more story than just a lovable robot who gains sentience.

True Story Trailer
Fresh from almost bringing the world to the end with The Interview, James Franco has jumped straight back on the cinematic horse with the release of the trailer for True Story. Jonah Hill is also featured prominently in the clip, which shows the pair acting incredibly serious for a change. It looks promising. Jonah Hill has proved that he is more the capable of providing a nuanced yet complex performance in a drama, while it is also a reminder that James Franco can play creepy yet captivating with aplomb too. True Story revolves around Jonah Hill’s Michael Finkel, a disgraced New York Times journalist who finds that his identity has been taken on by James Franco’s character, a wanted killer. On the hunt for a story, Michael Finkel grows closer and closer to James Franco’s Christian Longo. But not only does he put himself in increasing danger, he also damages his relationship with his wife, played by Felicity Jones. Alongside the release of the first trailer, Yahoo has also unveiled the first poster for True Story, which is pretty bodacious.

Get Hard - Official Trailer 2
This is Warner Bros. second trailer for Get Hard and it’s even funnier than the first. Opening with a nice throwback to early 90’s rap, we’re treated to a little of Dr. Dre’s "Still D.R.E." featuring Snoop Dogg as we get acquainted with our surroundings in a neighborhood that looks like it could be straight out of John Singleton’s 1991 film, Boyz n the Hood. After a few teases we see James King (Ferrell) in his already-infamous, insanely ridiculous, orange vested get-up. He is joined by Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) as the two get called out by some of the neighborhood residents. "Hello," says Ferrell’s character in his trademark oblivious way. After getting a not-so-friendly response, he follows with, "I don’t think they’ve ever seen a white person before." We zip back to 30 days prior, where we learn what led James to his present circumstances. A millionaire hedge fund manager, he is sentenced to hard time in prison, after being convicted of corporate fraud. After he is given a stretch of 30 days to "get his affairs in order," he hires Darnell to teach him everything he needs to know to survive in prison. "I could pay you," Ferrell’s character pleads, ever so hilariously. Playing on James’ stereotypical assumptions that he has been to prison just because he’s black, Darnell, who in reality hasn’t even received so much as a parking ticket, accepts a cash offer to teach him how to "get hard".
