Someone with ties to Quadir has hijacked Jerrell’s shipment and Jerrel has hit the streets determined to find out who. Jerrell is determined to get paid by any means necessary and he'll start with Gena.

Produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Reginald Hudlin (The Black Godfather, Django Unchained), Emperor stars Dayo Okeniyi (Terminator Genisys, "Shades of Blue"), Naturi Naughton ("Power"), Kat Graham ("The Vampire Diaries"), Mykelti Williamson (Fences), Oscar nominee James Cromwell (Babe, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), and Oscar nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska , Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood). Emperor is directed by Mark Amin (The Good Kill, Frida) from a script by Amin and Pat Charles (Black Lightning, "Sons of Anarchy"). Produced by Hudlin, Cami Winikoff and Amin. Briarcliff Entertainment will release Emperor in theatres in the US on March 27, 2020.

Batman Vs. Robin Trailer
Partially based on the Court of Owls storyline that was featured in Batman comics that began with DC's New 52 relaunch, Batman vs. Robin is the continuation of the larger animated continuity/shared universe that began with the release of Justice League: War early last year. As you may be able to tell watching the trailer (which comes to us courtesy of IGN) the titular Robin in this case is Damian Wayne - Batman's son with Talia al Ghul - and he'll be going head-to-head with his father. Batman vs. Robin is the DC animated universe follow up to Justice League: Throne of Atlantis - the last in-continuity movie that Warner Bros. and DC Comics released - but but it isn't the only DC animated film that we will be seeing this year. Stepping outside of the shared universe - similar to what Batman: Assault on Arkham did last year - we will soon see the release of Justice League: Gods and Monsters. It doesn't seem that either new film has an official release date just yet, but both will be debuting within 2015.

Comcast RISE Investment Fund
Mayor Slyvester Turner and the Comcast Corporation announced the Comcast RISE Investment Fund, which will provide $5 million dollars of grants to hundreds of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-owned, small businesses in five cities nationwide, including $1 million in Houston. The Investment Fund is the latest extension of Comcast RISE (Representation, Investment, Strength, and Empowerment), the multi-faceted initiative launched in 2020.
