The Bureau of Public Health Preparedness (PHP) exists to build infrastructure to help the City respond to public health disasters through planning, outreach, training, exercise and response. Congressman Al Green shares how important it is to have a plan for what you and your family will do in an emergency. Consider how you will communicate with each other, where you will meet, and who you can leave messages with out-of-state if you can't reach people locally. The XTS is powered by the latest iteration of GM's 3.6-liter V-6. Referred to by the LFX engine code, the mill makes 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque in the Caddy. The only transmission available is a six-speed automatic, and also like the big Buick, the XTS will offer a Haldex-based all-wheel-drive system. Front-wheel drive is standard. Broadway Actress DeQuina Moore of Flashdance speaks w/ Jo-Carolyn Goode

Broadway and Film Actress DeQuina Moore is a native Houstonian who is back in the city for Flashdance: the Musical playing at the Hobby Center starting June 4, 2013. She plays the sexy, sassy, scintillating "Kiki" in the 1980's hit movie turned musical "FLASHDANCE". DeQuina's powerhouse voice landed her the lead role of Kiki, a small-time club dancer "who's got a sassy step and a commanding, turn-men-to-stone voice". DeQuina was born and raised in Houston. She graduated from Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual ( HSPVA ) and trained at The Ensemble Theatre in their Young Performers Program. The campus of Texas Southern University was all abuzz after learning that the university's Board of Regents unanimously agreed to award the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to one of its top alumni. Super Bowl Champion, businessman, and broadcaster Michael Strahan was honored with the university's highest honor, the doctorate degree at Spring Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 11th. This special moment occurred at the campus Health and PE Arena with over 10,000 in attendance! Houston Style Magazine's Rebecca Briscoe learned that Dr. John Rudley, university president, made a special trip to New York recently to officially make the offer to Strahan. While there and visiting the set of LIVE with Kelly and Michael, Rudley witnessed in person Strahan's magnetic personality and huge presence on and off the stage.
