Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer
"My world is fire and blood." After the roar of a car engine, these are the words used to re-introduce us to the road warrior known as Max (played in a new film by the vicious Tom Hardy). A new Mad Max: Fury Road clip just dropped. "Everybody’s gone out of their mind." Yes, it certainly looks that way as we get out first return trip to George Miller’s post-apocalyptic, road-rage-driven universe last seen in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The faces might be different – with Tom Hardy subbing in for a much older Mel Gibson at this point – but the physicality and the muscle-car madness that has made the Road Warrior series so memorable seem to be dialed up to extreme levels. More than anything, though, this trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road makes the long-anticipated sequel look strangely beautiful. It’s almost as if George Miller pulls some of the visual wizardry he learned on the animated Happy Feet movies over to the normally bleached-out world of the Road Warrior, injecting the bone-crunching vehicle scenes with an array of wild colors that only enhance the excitement.
Knight Of Cups Trailer
The first trailer for Terrence Malick’s new film Knight Of Cups has been released and it is just as peculiar and beautiful as you’d expect. It also gives us a look at Knight Of Cups’ rather magnificent cast, which boasts arguably the three best actors in Hollywood at the moment. As you can probably tell, Knight Of Cups won’t be for everyone. But Terrence Malick does appear to have embraced a more mainstream plot that looks as though it will revolve around Christian Bale’s attempt to juggle relationships with both Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman. Along the way he will almost certainly incorporate the usual visual decadence and subtle plotting that has become a hallmark of his films too. The fact that Knight Of Cups features the combined acting talent of Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman is enough to intrigue any passionate moviegoer though. But it doesn’t stop there. The rest of the ensemble is packed out with Brian Dennehy, Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto, Wes Bentley, Teresa Palmer, and Imogen Poots, while Ben Kingsley’s voice will also feature in some fashion too. Not too shabby. Of course the fact that Terrence Malick is widely regarded as one of the most visually innovative and compelling filmmakers in the history of cinema is the reason why each of these actors leapt at the opportunity to join the ensemble for the film. Plus, he also has developed a rather wonderful habit of coercing career-defining performances from each of his cast too. The fact that he oversaw Sean Penn in The Thin Red Line, Martin Sheen in Badlands, and Richard Gere in Days Of Heaven is proof of that.
To Write Love On Her Arms Trailer
The latest trailer for To Write Love On Her Arms has premiered and it’s more than a little quirky and a tad underwhelming. Still the always-charming and rather lovely Kat Dennings manages to make up for any of its shortcomings. You can check it out and judge for yourself. First things first; is it just me or was it impossible to keep track of Kat Dennings’ hairstyles in that trailer? She seemed to go from bangs to goth to curls within the blink of an eye. The fact that I’ve started off by talking about Kat Dennings’ hair rather than any other element of To Write Love On Her Arms probably shows you just how underwhelmed I was with the trailer. But before I go in to greater detail about why I don’t have any inkling whatsoever to see the film, here is Sony Pictures’ official synopsis for it: "Based on the true story that started a global movement, To Write Love on Her Arms presents a vision of hope, healing and redemption. Emmy® Award winner Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) stars as Renee, a Florida girl who struggles with addiction and abuse. In a creative blend of artistic fantasy and music conflicted with hard reality, Renee discovers the value of genuine friendships and embarks on a daunting yet courageous journey towards recovery. The film also stars Chad Michael Murray, Rupert Friend and Corbin Bleu."
Peanuts Official Holiday Trailer [HD] | FOX Family
Snoopy lets his imagination take flight atop his iconic red dog house, as he zig-zags through clouds, grapples with The Red Baron and almost crashes into the Eiffel Tower. Of course, good ol’ Woodstock is there to cackle at this lovable cartoon pooch when he inadvertently falls into his dog bowl. But where’s Charlie Brown and the rest of his pals during all of this? Why, having a little trouble maneuvering a popcorn bowl in the movie theater.
The Lazarus Effect Official Trailer
The Lazarus Effect revolves around a team of medical students who devise a way to bring dogs, and eventually humans, back to life. But rather than patting themselves on the back and immediately declaring to the world that each and everyone one of them is in fact God reincarnated, they soon discover that the people and pets that they are resurrecting are pretty evil once they are walking, talking and eating again. Olivia Wilde plays The Lazarus Effect’s lead character, Zoe, who after being electrocuted is brought back to life by her beau, Frank (Mark Duplass). However, it becomes clear that Zoe’s experience has altered her drastically, and the evil force that now permeates through her body soon starts to wreak havoc on those closest to her. In addition to the new trailer, the first poster for The Lazarus Effect has also been released online, and it proves that Olivia Wilde is going to be looking far from glamorous throughout the film.
Run All Night Official Trailer #1
In Run All Night, we see Liam Neeson's Jimmy Conlon squaring off against Ed Harris' Shawn Maguire. The two men are friends who've turned enemies after Neeson kills Harris' son to protect his own. Now it's up to Neeson and his son, played by Joel Kinnaman, to stay ahead of Harris' goons, crooked cops, and any one else that stands in the way of the duo surviving a rather perilous night in New York City. After watching the trailer for Run All Night, it looks like the project brings an even balance of good news and bad news. We'll start with the good news: the action looks on par with some of the finest Liam Neeson action pictures we've seen in recent years. In particular, the shot of Neeson wielding a particularly acrobatic shotgun is one of the coolest shots we've seen in a long while. Not to mention, the fact that Liam Neeson and Ed Harris are facing each other is a match up we wouldn't miss even if this film was directed by the man behind Unknown and Non-Stop.
Get Hard - Official Trailer 2
This is Warner Bros. second trailer for Get Hard and it’s even funnier than the first. Opening with a nice throwback to early 90’s rap, we’re treated to a little of Dr. Dre’s "Still D.R.E." featuring Snoop Dogg as we get acquainted with our surroundings in a neighborhood that looks like it could be straight out of John Singleton’s 1991 film, Boyz n the Hood. After a few teases we see James King (Ferrell) in his already-infamous, insanely ridiculous, orange vested get-up. He is joined by Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) as the two get called out by some of the neighborhood residents. "Hello," says Ferrell’s character in his trademark oblivious way. After getting a not-so-friendly response, he follows with, "I don’t think they’ve ever seen a white person before." We zip back to 30 days prior, where we learn what led James to his present circumstances. A millionaire hedge fund manager, he is sentenced to hard time in prison, after being convicted of corporate fraud. After he is given a stretch of 30 days to "get his affairs in order," he hires Darnell to teach him everything he needs to know to survive in prison. "I could pay you," Ferrell’s character pleads, ever so hilariously. Playing on James’ stereotypical assumptions that he has been to prison just because he’s black, Darnell, who in reality hasn’t even received so much as a parking ticket, accepts a cash offer to teach him how to "get hard".
Batman Vs. Robin Trailer
Partially based on the Court of Owls storyline that was featured in Batman comics that began with DC's New 52 relaunch, Batman vs. Robin is the continuation of the larger animated continuity/shared universe that began with the release of Justice League: War early last year. As you may be able to tell watching the trailer (which comes to us courtesy of IGN) the titular Robin in this case is Damian Wayne - Batman's son with Talia al Ghul - and he'll be going head-to-head with his father. Batman vs. Robin is the DC animated universe follow up to Justice League: Throne of Atlantis - the last in-continuity movie that Warner Bros. and DC Comics released - but but it isn't the only DC animated film that we will be seeing this year. Stepping outside of the shared universe - similar to what Batman: Assault on Arkham did last year - we will soon see the release of Justice League: Gods and Monsters. It doesn't seem that either new film has an official release date just yet, but both will be debuting within 2015.
The Gunman Trailer
The new international trailer for The Gunman has been released and it looks very, very impressive. Not only does it boast one hell of a cast, but it also looks as though it will give each of its actors plenty of room to flaunt their talents. Check out the first trailer for The Gunman. It looks as though The Gunman is Sean Penn’s own politically-charged attempt at a Taken film. And that’s something that we should all be pretty excited about. The Gunman is also Penn’s first bona-fide action role, which means that it will show us a side of his skills that we’ve not been privy to before. The film’s simple plot revolves around Sean Penn’s Martin Terrier, an international military operative who wants out in order to settle down with the love of his life, played by Italian actress, Jasmine Trinca. However his employees decide that he can’t retire, and instead they start a game of cat and mouse that results in Terrier traveling across the length and breadth of Europe. Sean Penn is easily one of the best actors of his generation and it’s a cinematic atrocity that he hasn’t appeared in more films over the last few years. This will be Sean Penn’s first film since his brief appearance in 2013’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which came just a few short months after he’d been the only good thing in Gangster Squad. In fact since his Oscar-winning turn in 2008’s Milk the only other appearances he has made have been in Fair Game, The Tree Of Life and This Must Be The Place. None of which have allowed Sean Penn to truly flex his acting muscles.
Everly Official Trailer #1 (2015)
If you ever wondered what a film starring Salma Hayek, playing a sexy assassin holed up in her apartment while a grueling gauntlet of gangsters and other assorted ne’er-do-wells burst their way in, shooting up the place, well, then first off, congratulations for having such a specific vision. Secondly, it seems that your eccentric curiosity is about to be sated, because the new trailer for Salma Hayek’s new film, Everly is basically everything that was just described. Making its explosive debut, Everly depicts the venerable vixen, Hayek getting back to her ass-kicking action roots in a completely original setting. It’s like a deliciously demented amalgam of Home Alone and the Kill Bill series. At 48 years old, Hayek has never been hotter. (Although, you may want to check out Frida if you’re up for a trip down that rabbit hole.) Everly clearly brings a clever mix of action and self-referential genre-satirical humor.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2 - Red Band Trailer
If you thought Hot Tub Time Machine was raunchy, the latest Hot Tub Time Machine 2 trailer gives us a peek at the even more ridiculously inappropriate sequel. Be warned, if you’re not in a secure place to view topless women or hear jokes about how a bald Clarke Duke looks like "Michael Chiklis fucked Big Daddy Warbucks who fucked Lex Luthor," then you should hold off for a while. Yeah, it’s pretty NSFW. The latest Hot Tub Time Machine 2 trailer is short enough to take up a brief TV spot but packed with enough cusses, inappropriate jokes (one about cancer patients), drug use and boobs to last you the weekend. Not much is really all that new, though. The sequel sees the return of buddies Lou (Rob Corddry), Jacob (Clark Duke) and Nick (Craig Robinson), as they head into the future. Since the first film, they’ve all risen to the top of their respective fields, thanks to using intimate knowledge of history to manipulate the past. Now, the hot tub whisks them 10 years down the road in order to stop an unknown assailant from shooting and killing Lou.
Knock Knock Official Teaser Trailer
Having a threesome is the classic male fantasy - but over the years pop culture has shown us the oh-so-many ways that it can wind up being a disaster. It seems that Eli Roth's new film Knock Knock is yet another example of one of these ways, but rather than being a drama about hurt feelings, it appears this one is a strange up horror show. As you can probably tell, this preview debuted over on director Eli Roth's personal Facebook page - and it's honestly a rather strange trailer. After all, it does a solid job of setting up the film's initial action - Evan Webber (Keanu Reeves) is home alone and basically gets seduced into having a threesome with two lovely ladies (Ana de Armas, Lorenza Izzo) - but it doesn't actually demonstrate any of the negative consequences that are going to be on display. Yes, obviously Reeves is doing something morally wrong by cheating on his wife, but what exactly can we expect to see as his horrific punishment? As things stand, all we really have are a few ominous title cards and a stern-looking Reeves walking down a hallway while women giggle in the background.
