Lisa Lesile for Toyota Green Initiative

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie and the Toyota Green Initiative were in Houston for a day of service benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston. The program is also a nationwide movement that helps the African American community find smart, simple ideas that can make an environmental impact on the local community and environment. The Toyota Green Initiative event was part of the SWAC Basketball Tournament that took place at the Houston Toyota Center.

METRO and Houston ISD Honor Josue Flores | Full Press Event

Honoring Josue Flores: METRO today joined the Houston Independent School District and community partners in unveiling a new bus shelter at Northside High School. Josue would have graduated from Northside in May, and METRO dedicates this shelter memorial in his honor. Wells Fargo Mobile Response Unit Arrives in Houston

In response to Hurricane Harvey, Wells Fargo will deploy its Mobile Response Unit (MRU) to the Wells Fargo Bank at 4010 S. Braeswood Blvd. from Monday, Sept. 25 through Saturday, Oct. 7 to assist Houston-area customers. Fight Night SIX 2016

Premiere boxing is making a hard hitting comeback to Houston. This past Saturday, over two thousand spectators made their way to the Arabia Shrine Center to enjoy ten match ups with some of Houston’s own boxing elite. This highly anticipated “Fight Night Six” was hosted by G & M Boxing Promotions. While the boxers were warmed up backstage Houston Style was able to speak with hometown favorite and undefeated super welter weight boxer Devante “Boogyman” Williams, who was beyond excited to go in the ring and annihilate his opponent.
