HOUSTON – With the help of Season Ticket Members, Community Partners, Legends and Cheerleaders, the Houston Texans announced today the themes for each home game of the 2021 season.
Astros game against the Oakland A’s gets postponed due to positive test results from the A’s organization
On Sunday the Houston Astros had its fourth game postponed in less than a week. The organization was alerted around 1am early Sunday morning that a member of the Oakland A’s organization had tested positive for COVID-19. Houston and Oakland played a doubleheader on Saturday to make up for the postponed game on Friday when both teams decided not to play to protest social injustice in America.

Even though the weather outside of NRG stadium was a frigid 50 degrees and before you begin to laugh, that is very cold for a city that is used to 75 degrees with humidity added. Inside the stadium was blazing with one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. The Houston Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans 34-17 to extend their winning streak to 8 games. They also completed the first game of a three game homestand (Browns, Colts).

The Houston Rockets will continue their pursuit of an NBA Finals Championship on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks as the 2019-20 season starts back up after nearly four months off due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. Houston will play eight games at ESPN Disney before the playoffs start and every game counts for the Rockets since they are in a playoff seeding battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz.
Houston Texans And Amegy Bank Presents First Small Business Boost Winner Award Of 2021
The Houston Texans organization was back out in the community with partner Amegy Bank on Tuesday awarding their first of eight 2021 Small Business Boost program packages. DeMarco Howard, owner of The Artz Studio located in The Heights received a $2,500 donation, marketing and promotional support from the Texans and Amegy Bank and an award plaque.

The “Brodie” era has officially begun in Houston. Russell Westbrook was introduced on Friday after being traded to Houston from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Chris Paul and two first-round picks in 2024 and 2026 with the rights to two first-round swaps in 2021 and 2025. As I walked down the aisles of the grocery store this afternoon, I could see a difference in the normal attire of the customers. I had become accustomed to seeing people aka fans wearing Houston Astros World Championships shirts up and down aisles. But today my eyes had to do some adjusting to something I had not seen in a while. It had me dazed and confused for a second as the stream of orange and blue had more hues of red in it. As my eyes focus clearly I realized why there was now an abundance of Houston Texans jerseys being worn by fans throughout the store.

No problem. Houston sent former two-time Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander to the mound to put everything back in order. He pitched five scoreless innings allowing only two hits in his final inning of work as the Astros got back on the winning track by defeating Washington 8-0.
