Bad news has plagued the Houston Rockets this season and on Monday they were hit by the injury bug once again as veteran point guard John Wall will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 NBA season with a right hamstring strain. Rockets General Manager Rafael Stone made the announcement after an MRI that was performed by Dr. Steve Flores of Memorial Hermann revealed the injury
One Game at a Time
Houston gets a much-needed victory over the Nationals in Game 3 of the 2019 World Series.
During their run towards “Back to Back” NBA titles, the Houston Rockets ran into some serious trouble against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals. Houston went down in that series 3-1 and was on the brink of elimination in Game 5. The overall theme from the head coach all the way down to the last player on the bench was to take it one game at a time. Don’t jump ahead. Just win the game you are playing, and you will earn the chance to play another one with the same opportunity.

Home Is Where The Heart Is Houston Astros Open Seven-game Homestand
Although the Astros own the best road record in the Major Leagues at 38-15 and are averaging 6.89 runs per game on the road, they could not have been happier to return to Houston for the upcoming seven game homestand. Coming off a brutal nine game road trip (5-4), the Astros needed to be back in familiar territory to re-evaluate some late season issues that may cause some trouble as they make a run for the 2017 World Series.
Astros road woes continue in 6-0 loss to A’s
In a short 60-game season, multiple game losing streaks sticks out like a sore thumb. For the Houston Astros, a team that has been plagued by multiple injuries this season, they have picked the worst possible time to standout as they are in the midst of a five-game losing streak. Their woes continued on Monday night as they dropped another game back in the standings by losing to the A.L. West division leaders Oakland A’s. Houston (21-20) lost to Oakland (24-14) by a score of 6-0 in Oakland. That brings the Astros road record to 5-14 away from Minute Maid Park.
Moral Victory: Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans
As a child playing competitive sports, my coaches would tell us before each game that there was no such thing as a moral victory. You either win or lose. Moral victories don’t go down in the record books, they preached. So, every game, my teammates and I would never focus on what we did correctly. Never would we publicly talk about a great catch one of us had if we lost the game. Even when one of our players made a great tackle or even an interception, but the team lost the game. We would remain silent.
Watson Shines Bright Against The Patriots
Sometimes all you need in life is a little fresh air to help make things feel better. Well at least that is how the Houston Texans felt after they won their third game of the 2020 NFL season to improve to 3-7 against the New England Patriots by a score of 27-20. The Texans opened the retractable roof at NRG Stadium for the first time since November 30, 2014 and the Texans took full advantage of great football weather in Houston.

The tenured NFL positions coach who was given an opportunity to become a head coach by the Houston Texans after the team fired Bill O’ Brien, won his first game with a 37-21 victory over the Jags.
Houston Needs To Speak Up Against Denver
Communication is the one thing that was missing on the defensive end on Wednesday night when the Indiana Pacers defeated the Houston Rockets 132-124 at Toyota Center. During his pregame press conference, Rockets head coach Stephen Silas elaborated on how much he emphasized it to the team.
Road Trip May Help Bring Some Life Back To The Astros
The Astros are doing what everyone of us does when we seem to be in a funk at work or at home. They are headed on a road trip that will hopefully bring them better results than their last homestand. Houston went 1-5 against the Oakland A’s and Detroit Tigers who were led by their former manager A.J. Hinch.
Stop The Count: Astros Halt Mariners Winning Streak At 14 Games
With the majority of the 45,290 fans who helped Seattle set a season-high in attendance hurling insults towards the visiting Astros. It had a postseason feel familiar to Houston but probably caused some nervousness for Seattle since they have not made the playoffs since 2001.
Sweet Revenge

One day after breaking a six-game losing streak, the Astros bullpen woes continued as Houston allowed a walk-off single by Oakland’s Ramon Laureano to push them 5 ½ games out of first place in the AL West. The A’s defeated the Astros 3-2 on Wednesday night in a game that Houston needed badly, winning only one game out of the eight played in California.
Let’s Play Ball: Houston Astros Are Prepared for the 2018 Season
On March 29, 2018, baseball enthusiast will hear those words they have been waiting for since the final game of the 2017 World Series.
Adversity Is Making It Tough For Rockets First-Year Coach Stephen Silas
It’s getting harder and harder for Houston Rockets Head Coach Stephen Silas to do his daily press conferences as the only thing he can provide that is consistent is an injury update. The Rockets currently hold the longest NBA losing streak of 16 games this season and although the rookie head coach does not want anyone to have sympathy for him, it is hard not too knowing that he himself has to make decisions on the fly just to have an adequate number of players to even play a game.
Change
Veteran OL Whitney Mercilus is looking forward to playing under a new defensive signal caller
Change is something that a lot of individuals can’t accept. Whether it be a cubicle switch in the office or furniture rearrangement at home. Some people are not good with dealing with change.
Kevin Porter Jr. learning to become a better defender against top talent in the NBA
Although Ayton finished the night with 16 points, I am pretty sure he will remember the pesky 6-foot-6 guard who always seemed to be around when he was demanding the ball.
On the Menu Today: REVENGE
If revenge is a dish best served cold, then the Houston Texans are trying to serve the New England Patriots a TV dinner that has been sitting in the freezer for over seven years. That was the last time the Texans defeated the Patriots (January 3, 2010). As they venture into a cold 29 degree Foxboro Stadium on Saturday, Houston will look to shock the world and come out with a victory over the number one AFC seeded New England Patriots.
Houston We Definitely Have a Problem
Most of my friends have heard me say a certain phrase I was told when I was younger that has stuck with me throughout 25 years of my life.

Former Texans S Justin Reid To Sign With The Kansas City Chiefs
Houston was one of Reid’s first choices as a destination to play in the 2022-23 NFL season, but the price tag was a little too steep for a rebuilding franchise that has a lot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball.
