Correa avoids arbitration by agreeing to one-year deal with the Astros
The Houston Astros have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa. Correa, who was the only remaining, unsigned arbitration-eligible player on the Astros roster signed for $11.7 million. He was seeking $12.5 million, but the team ha only offered $9.75 million.

Kyle Tucker capped off a great birthday weekend for his teammate Martin Maldonado. His walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Astros (11-10) a 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners (7-16) and capped off a sweep of the series. Houston is now on a four-game winning streak and have won five out of the six games they have played in Minute Made Park.

Astros win Game 4 to push them closer to a return to the World Series
The Astros are on the brink of going back to their second World Series within the last three years. Houston (3-1) got a much needed and some might think unexpected victory on last night by beating the New York Yankees (1-3) in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) by a score of 8-3. Houston will now send their ace, Justin Verlander to the mound in Game 5 to try and close out the series, while the Yankees will start James Paxton to stave off elimination.

For the second game in a row the Houston Rockets (2-2) have been good, but just not good enough to finish. After losing Game 3 on Saturday in overtime due to the inefficiency to slow down big runs by the Oklahoma City Thunder (2-2) at the end of quarters, the Rockets let it happen again in Game 4. OKC used a 22-7 run at the end of the third quarter to erase a Houston 15-point lead and would go on to defeat Houston by a score of 117-114 to even the series at two games apiece.

As I walked down the aisles of the grocery store this afternoon, I could see a difference in the normal attire of the customers. I had become accustomed to seeing people aka fans wearing Houston Astros World Championships shirts up and down aisles. But today my eyes had to do some adjusting to something I had not seen in a while. It had me dazed and confused for a second as the stream of orange and blue had more hues of red in it. After playing all their home games since 2012, at BBVA stadium which is home of the MLS Houston Dynamo, the Tigers fans can finally stand on their own campus and scream out this phrase they have been holding in for a while. Have you ever heard of the phrase, “Making up for lost time?” It seems like it is becoming the mantra for the 2020 MLB season for the Houston Astros after an over three-month layoff due the COVID-19.
