On last Friday I sat in front of my TV just like millions of others in America to watch the 2017 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 round. As a sports fan, I was only interested in one game and that was UCLA vs Kentucky. Some watched this game for reasons outside of basketball (LaVar Ball).

The Houston Texans look to rebound after such a heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night (30 -28) in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Houston will take on AFC South divisional rival, Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at NRG Stadium in their first home game of the 2019 NFL season. The Texans look to make it three- straight against the Jags after winning the last two meetings (20-7, 20-3).

The crowd size may have changed, but the results are still the same. After having the season delayed for nearly three months due to COVID-19, the Houston Astros (1-0) finally opened their 2020 MLB season with a win over division foe Seattle Mariners (0-1) by a score of 8-2. The victory tonight makes the Astros 19-1 in the last 20 games dating back to last season and 11-0 in Minute Maid Park against the Mariners.

2019 SWAC Media Day
The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) held its annual Media Day with one of the biggest issues being addressed by SWAC Commissioner Dr. Charles McClelland. The conference has announced the permanent future of its football championship game which will be played at the home site of the highest ranked team at the conclusion of the regular season.
