Rockets rally comes up short in Philadelphia

I am a firm believer that most individuals believe that there are no such things as moral victories in professional sports. Many have the mindset like the majority of the athletes that only wins, and losses are the only thing that shows up in the standings.

Texans drop season opener to the Chiefs

For at least four hours on Thursday night, America felt normal again because the NFL was back. In spite of everything this country has been through with the COVID-19 global pandemic, football is something that can help mentally take away all of the disastrous events that has happened this year. Unfortunately for the Houston Texans their woes continued as their 2020 NFL season began the same way their 2019 season ended with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Getting the Band Back Together: Houston Welcomes Back Center Clint Capela to the Starting Lineup

In 2014, one of the best hip-hop duos known to date, Outkast, reunited to play dozens of venues around the United States including Coachella, which is the biggest summer music festival around. It had been nearly 10 years since Big Boi and Andre 3000 had been on stage, but once they hit that stage it was like they never had a layoff.

In the Blink of An Eye

Houston Astros go on a 12- game-winning streak to set up for a great season

When I was in school, we learned what a reflex blink was. It occurs in response to an external stimulus when objects appear rapidly in front of the eye. Older individuals use to say, “In the blink of an eye, your whole life can change.” Well, if you have blinked your eyes in the last two weeks, and I know you have because it’s an involuntary reflex, you can’t help but to notice how hot your World Champion Houston Astros have gotten. The Astros went on a 12-game winning streak (ended in a 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week) to remind the rest of Major League baseball that last year was not a fluke.

The Stars at Night: Texans Defeat the Cowboys In Overtime of the “Battle for Texas”

Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good song. I sing loud and off key all the time. And when I can’t sing, I hum off key just to keep the melody in my head. Some will tell you that music can calm the savage beast. Well on Sunday night in Houston, Texas, there was a song that caused all Texans in attendance to sing very loud and definitely not on the right note or key. “The stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas,” blared through the speakers at NRG park and the sold-out crowd could not have been happier.
