Jalen Green Trying To Follow In The Footsteps Of Steph Curry

That’s like a big bro. I was struggling a little bit in the G League, and he (Curry) sent me a voice message like, ‘Man, just keep shooting.’ I don’t know how many nights had been in that shooting slump, but I just kept shooting. He’s always giving me advice. I can hit him up whenever I need to.

“I think this organization has a very bright future. We have a great young quarterback. We’ve got a lot of really great guys in the locker room. They have a passion for the game. We just didn’t get it done today,” were the words Houston Texans head coach Bill O’ Brien to reporters after the Texans lost their Wild Card playoff game to the Indianapolis Colts 21 – 7 at NRG stadium. Houston ended their season with an overall record of 11-6, which included a nine-game winning streak and the 2018 AFC South Divisional Championship title.

It Has Been A Long Three Months For The Houston Rockets

If I had to take an educated guess. I would say that this has probably been the longest three months of Rockets Head Coach Stephen Silas’s career. Yet despite opening up the 2020-21 NBA Season three months ago to the day, coach Silas has to feel like Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves is his team’s season debut having finally being able to put all the season’s turmoil behind him for now.

Around The Bases: Astros Drop Series Against Mariners

I don’t want to get too excited nine games into the season, but rookie shortstop Jeremy Peña is giving me those “It” factor vibes with his play so far. Even though he was given the day off in the last game of the series, he made his presence felt in the second game.

Big Bats Help Reduce Astros Magic Number To One

One thing I love about getting together with some of my old high school football teammates is the reminiscing we do about our greatest moments during our four-year careers. Some have more stories than others, but that is ok because we listen to all the stories with the same enthusiasm as the previous 50-times we heard them. For us it’s just about reliving the moment.

Astros Control Their Own Destiny

Houston’s 6-1 victory puts them closer to securing a berth in the playoffs

“Controlling your own destiny,” is a phrase the Houston Astros have heard over the last three weeks day in and day out. Of course, it is a cliché that could be used at the start of every season, but it doesn’t mean as much when you still have over four months of baseball left during a normal season compared to a 60-game global pandemic one.

“I know it’s probably a big deal, but I am just looking at it as another game,” Green said after practice on Tuesday. “It’s always fun to have the bright lights on. That’s when the realness comes out. But it’s just another game, trying to prove ourselves as a team and try to figure things out.”

Texans lose season opener to the Saints on a last-second field goal

“Barefield. You almost got it,” said one of my teammates on the basketball team in high school. What he was referring to was my attempt to try and dunk a basketball. I was very close. So close that after a few tries I just hung on the rim. It gave me a sense that one day soon I would complete the task of dunking like my favorite NBA player at the time, Dominique Wilkins.
