“Controlling your own destiny,” is a phrase the Houston Astros have heard over the last three weeks day in and day out. Of course, it is a cliché that could be used at the start of every season, but it doesn’t mean as much when you still have over four months of baseball left during a normal season compared to a 60-game global pandemic one.

As a child playing competitive sports, my coaches would tell us before each game that there was no such thing as a moral victory. You either win or lose. Moral victories don’t go down in the record books, they preached. So, every game, my teammates and I would never focus on what we did correctly. Never would we publicly talk about a great catch one of us had if we lost the game. Even when one of our players made a great tackle or even an interception, but the team lost the game. We would remain silent.

After defeating the New York Yankees in an exhilarating six-run ninth inning comeback going into the All-Star break, Houston used that momentum and defeated one of the American League’s best team in the Chicago White Sox by a score of 7-1.

The Houston Texans organization has always been there when Houstonians were in need and they have once again stepped up their relief efforts to be there for those in need. Janice S. It’s as if she is looking at a direct reflection of herself on television. Before Venus and Serena Williams was ripping through the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) at a rapid pace, there was another African American young lady who paved the way for them as well.
Road Trip May Help Bring Some Life Back To The Astros
The Astros are doing what everyone of us does when we seem to be in a funk at work or at home. They are headed on a road trip that will hopefully bring them better results than their last homestand. Houston went 1-5 against the Oakland A’s and Detroit Tigers who were led by their former manager A.J. Hinch.

For the second night in a row, the Houston Astros failed to get any RBI’s (Runs Batted In) while giving up RBI’s (Real Big Innings). The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros, 12-3 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2019 World Series. Only three teams have ever gone down 0-2 at home to come back and win the World Series: 1985 Kansas City Royals, 1986 New York Mets, and the 1996 New York Yankees.

Astros Bats Make A Huge Impact In Four-Game Sweep Over The A’s
Houston (4-0) used a strong combination of hitting and pitching to take all four games from the defending A.L. West Champions Oakland A’s (0-4) including an impressive 9-2 win on Sunday. The Astros scored a combined 35 runs on the A’s averaging 8.75 runs per game which was almost as many as Oakland had for the entire series (9). They became the fourth team in Major League history to score eight or more runs in their first four games.

Houston Rockets hold press conference to introduce Russell Westbrook
The “Brodie” era has officially begun in Houston. Russell Westbrook was introduced on Friday after being traded to Houston from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Chris Paul and two first-round picks in 2024 and 2026 with the rights to two first-round swaps in 2021 and 2025. The 2016-17 MVP was introduced by Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey who could hardly contain his excitement knowing that he had brokered a deal that could potentially bring the city of Houston another NBA championship.
Second Half Collapse Leads To Fourth Consecutive Loss For The Texans
For one half of football, the Houston Texans gave their fans something to cheer for against the New England Patriots on Sunday after taking a lead into halftime for the first time since their Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers. The only problem is, there is the second half of football and, by the time the game was over, the fans were looking at the scoreboard trying to figure out what happened as the Texans lost 25-22 to the Patriots.
