Fighting Frustrations
Astros involved in a bench clearing brawl as they drop 5th straight game
It has been a frustrating 2020 for the Houston Astros. Outside of being branded as the “Asterisks” and becoming the bad guys of baseball due to the 2017 cheating scandal, they have had their roster decimated by injuries of some of their top players in the first 15 games of the season. To make matters worse they have lost five games in a row and are currently 5 ½ games back of the Oakland A’s for the lead in the A.L. West.

Adversity Is Making It Tough For Rockets First-Year Coach Stephen Silas
It’s getting harder and harder for Houston Rockets Head Coach Stephen Silas to do his daily press conferences as the only thing he can provide that is consistent is an injury update. The Rockets currently hold the longest NBA losing streak of 16 games this season and although the rookie head coach does not want anyone to have sympathy for him, it is hard not too knowing that he himself has to make decisions on the fly just to have an adequate number of players to even play a game.

Panic Mode
Texans lose third game in a row to start the season
Sometimes life comes at you very hard and very fast. It is something you wish you could control, but I have learned that it is something you can’t. For the Houston Texans, they are trying to do their best to just get out of the whirlwind that this early 2020 NFL season has them in. Houston (0-3) dropped their third game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) losing in Heinz Field by a score of 28-21.
So Close, Yet So Far Away
For the Houston Rockets, it seems as if their arms are too short to grab consistent victories this season. They dropped another game on Wednesday night losing to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 120-108 after being up by as much as 18-points at one point during the game.
Identity Check The Rockets have established themselves during six-game winning streak.
Two weeks ago, the Houston Rockets was a team with no identity. They had just lost their third game in a row to drop their record to 4-9. The rotation was about as stable as a three-legged table due to injuries, health and safety protocols in accordance with league policy on COVID-19 and the trade of franchise superstar James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. Those were just some of the things keeping head coach Stephen Silas up late at night.
First Round Draft Pick For The Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson Arrives Houston
Dressed in studded Louboutin shoes, the #12 pick of the 2017 NFL Draft walked into his first press conference as a Houston Texan just as cool as he walked off the field during his college days at Clemson.

“Friends”
Roommates Bielak and Taylor shuts down the Rockies to extend winning streak to five games
The sitcom “Friends” was a mega-hit on television networks about six individuals who lived in Manhattan, New York who had their personal and professional lives followed on a daily basis. On that show were two roommates that were always up to some sort of shenanigans and they had uncanny ability to make everyone around them feel comfortable.

SWAC Tournament 2017: The Forgotten Talent
As I sit in the Health and Physical Education Arena (home of the Southwestern Athletic Conference leader Texan Southern University basketball team), I am saddened by two things: One the crowd size and two, the lack of media coverage here.
Astros Rookie Jeremy Peña Has "Mamba Mentality" In His Approach To The 2022 Postseason
As the press conference was ending, Peña was asked a question about his outlook on being up 2-0 in the series over the Mariners and headed to play two games in Seattle. He channeled the energy and emotions of one of his favorite athletes of all time in the late NBA Hall of Fame Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.

Disappointment: Texans Lose Last Game of the Season to the Colts
Every New Year I hear the same statement made by individuals who can’t wait for the clock to hit midnight on December 31st. “New Year, New Me” is what they love to scream as they drink their favorite adult beverage. Well, let’s hope that the Houston Texans organization has that same mantra going into next season. Houston ended its season by losing to the Indianapolis Colts 22 – 13 to finish the season with a 4 -12 record and be ranked last in the AFC South due to the two losses to the Colts.
Offensive Inefficiency Extends Texans Losing Streak To Six Games
For a brief moment on Sunday, the Houston Texans fans had something to cheer for. They had stalled the high-powered offense of the undefeated Arizona Cardinals for two drives and gotten a safety on MVP candidate Kyler Murray on the Cardinals' third offensive possession to take a 2-0 lead early in the game. They increased that lead to 5-0 on a 53-yard field goal from Ka’imi Fairbairn.
