Sometimes life comes at you very hard and very fast. It is something you wish you could control, but I have learned that it is something you can’t. For the Houston Texans, they are trying to do their best to just get out of the whirlwind that this early 2020 NFL season has them in. Houston (0-3) dropped their third game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) losing in Heinz Field by a score of 28-21.

For the second night in a row, the Houston Astros failed to get any RBI’s (Runs Batted In) while giving up RBI’s (Real Big Innings). The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros, 12-3 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2019 World Series. Only three teams have ever gone down 0-2 at home to come back and win the World Series: 1985 Kansas City Royals, 1986 New York Mets, and the 1996 New York Yankees.

The Houston Texans wrapped up their final OTA’s practice at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Now the free agents who were invited to participate in the all voluntary drills will wait to hear back from the Texans for the chance to participate in training camp. Those who do will have an opportunity to be a part of the organization for the regular season.

Texans look to bounce back after tough loss on Monday night
The Houston Texans look to rebound after such a heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night (30 -28) in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Houston will take on AFC South divisional rival, Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at NRG Stadium in their first home game of the 2019 NFL season. The Texans look to make it three- straight against the Jags after winning the last two meetings (20-7, 20-3).

Inside the stadium was blazing with one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. The Houston Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans 34-17 to extend their winning streak to 8 games. They also completed the first game of a three game homestand (Browns, Colts).

Don’t look now, but the Houston Rockets have quietly put together a quiet six-game winning streak. Their second longest streak this season. With all the attention focused on James Harden’s 30-point plus game coming to an end against the Atlanta Hawks, the Rockets have just gone about their business by making up ground in the Western Conference. They are currently in third place in the playoff standings and that means a lot from a team that was in 14th place earlier in the season.

The Merriman-Webster dictionary defines an Aha moment as a sudden realization, inspiration, insight, recognition, or comprehension and nothing makes a coach feel jubilated, then when his players experience it for the first time. For Houston Rockets head coach Stephen Silas, he could see it coming for his team in spurts as multiple lineups caused certain players to have the moment at certain times. Now with a healthy lineup it seems as if everyone who has touches the floor for the Rockets is having them.

Any football coach from Pop Warner to the NFL will tell you that your number one priority on offense is to protect the ball. Any time you turn the ball over, especially in the red-zone, you kill your offensive momentum and miss an opportunity to put points on the scoreboard. Prairie View A&M (3-4, 2-1) learned that lesson the hard way in a 38-0 blowout to SWAC rival, Southern Jaguars (3-3, 2-1).
