Never Settle: The Houston Astros begin their bid to repeat as World Series Champions

One definition of the word settle is: to make stable; place in a permanent position or on a permanent basis. But for the Houston Astros, they have taken that word and made it a mantra for the 2018 Major League Baseball season. “Never Settle” is plastered over every piece of literature throughout the clubhouse and Minute Maid Park as a constant reminder that the 2017 season is over. Now don’t get me wrong, they were highly successful on last season by winning the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that was last year.

Rockets Break Five-Game Losing Streak As Wall Returns To The Lineup

“Tonight, was a pretty complete game on both ends of the floor,” said Silas when asked about his team not collapsing in the fourth quarter like they have in the past. “It wasn’t just the execution on the offensive end. It was also the execution on the defensive end as well.”

Texans success against the Patriots depends on watching the “Ball Hawk”

The Houston Texans and New England Patriots square off this Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas in a game that could determine the fate of the 2020 NFL season for both franchises. With one more loss, the Texans would lose any glimmer of hope of making the playoffs, while the Patriots could propel themselves right back into at least a shot at a Wild-Card game.

Dodgers pitcher and manager suspended by MLB after bench clearing incident against the Astros

Major League Baseball sent a strong message to the rest of the league in regard to any other teams seeking any type of revenge towards the Houston Astros for the 2017 cheating scandal that was revealed this past off-season by a former Astros pitcher who is currently with the Oakland A’s.

Rockets rally comes up short in Philadelphia

I am a firm believer that most individuals believe that there are no such things as moral victories in professional sports. Many have the mindset like the majority of the athletes that only wins, and losses are the only thing that shows up in the standings.

Texans Must Contain Rams Disruptor Aaron Donald

If the saying, “Life comes at you fast” was a team in the NFL, it would be the Houston Texans. One week after facing the Arizona Cardinals, Houston's next opponent, the Los Angeles Rams are just as dangerous on both sides of the ball. The Texans' 31-5 defeat to Arizona revealed that Houston's inefficiency to move the ball and sustain drives is a huge problem that will not get fixed this week against Los Angeles.

Same Story: Texans Lose Another Close Game

The last time the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans met in October, the Texans put on an offensive display that led them to a franchise record 57 points. Maybe they should have put some of those points in a safe deposit box to be used two months later. This past Sunday, the Texans lost to the Titans 24 – 13, and are 1- 4 since rookie QB Deshaun Watson went on injured reserve.

Jose Altuve Clutch Hitting Helps The Astros Tie The World Series At One Apiece

Most Houstonians will tell you that if you don’t like the weather, wait about 30 minutes, and it will change. Major League Baseball officials got a real scare on Wednesday as the city was under a tornado watch in the early morning hours. That would threaten the playing conditions they had set with the roof of Minute Maid Park scheduled to be open.

The Texans returned to the practice field on Wednesday after a much-needed day off. Although the players were happy to be off, you could also tell that they missed being in pads as the practice bubble at the Methodist training facility was buzzing before the media was fully able to get inside. Here are a couple of takeaways from day 6 of Texans training camp.

Home Cooking: Houston Texans Defeat the Cleveland Browns

The Houston Texans got a much needed victory this past Sunday at NRG stadium by defeating the Cleveland Browns 33-17. The Texans got back to their winning ways and got a week off before heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. They will need the additional time to get healthy and adjust to the injuries they have suffered on the defensive side of the ball (Whitney Mercilus and JJ Watt are out for the season).

Astros Need More Production From Their Pitchers If They Want to Advance To The World Series

On paper, that looks great. On the field in the last three games, it has looked atrocious. Houston lost 12-3 to the Boston Red Sox in Game 3 of the ALCS to fall behind 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
