Ice cream company Protein Pints took home the grand prize at the 2024 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC) April 6 as the best student ventures from top universities across the world competed for prizes in front of nearly 350 angel, venture capital and corporate investors and members of the business community.

Advocates condemn Texas anti-immigrant law SB4 as legal battles continue
The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday, March 19 that Texas law SB4—which would allow law enforcement agents to arrest and jail migrants—could go into effect pending litigation on its constitutionality. Just hours later, the Fifth Circuit restored a hold on the law. These decisions come a day after the Supreme Court blocked the law from going into effect while emergency appeals played out. SB4, which closely mirrors Arizona’s discriminatory “show me your papers” law, criminalizes entry and re-entry, and deputizes state police to arrest people they suspect are undocumented.

From that date to the present, he has dominated the rap game in Houston from his first freestyle to birth a clothing collection, beer line, e-Cigar, construction company, foundation, and constantly give back to the community that helped him rise to the top. He credits Houston for giving him that entrepreneurial spirit. The city stands to salute this Houston legend with all the rights and privileges thereof.
