Muslim Advocates Calls on MN Attorney General to Arrest and Charge All Officers Involved in George Floyd’s Murder

On Sunday night, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison was named as the lead prosecutor in the murder of George Floyd. Muslim Advocates has a long-standing relationship with Ellison, having worked with him as a member of Congress and as Minnesota’s attorney general. Today, Muslim Advocates is launching an action asking Americans to contact Attorney General Ellison and ask him to arrest and charge all officers involved in the murder of George Floyd. Antonio Tillis, dean of the University of Houston’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has been appointed interim president of UH-Downtown. He begins July 2. He replaces Juan Muñoz, who was recently named chancellor of the University of California-Merced. Muñoz was president of UHD since 2017.

$1.2 Million Awarded to Train Mental Health Policy Fellows in Texas

The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health is excited to announce that ten nonprofit advocacy groups received a total of $1.2 million in grants over two years to hire in-house policy fellows.
