The Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) has selected Buffalo Bayou Park, Hermann Park’s McGovern Centennial Gardens and MATCH (Midtown Arts and Theatre Center Houston) for its 2017 Development of Distinction Awards. ULI honors public open spaces and developments that exemplify best practices in design, construction, economic viability, healthy places, marketing and management and is modeled after the national Urban Land Institute Global Awards for Excellence and Urban Open Spaces Awards.

This effort is part of the Comcast RISE Investment Fund program, a multi-year, multi-faceted initiative launched in late 2020 to support small businesses owned by people of color (POC) and provide the resources and tools they need today.
