Foundation has collaborated with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Office of Education and Comp-U-Dopt to provide children and families with computers needed to access classwork and digital learning resources online.

Houston … Mission Is a ‘Go’ Space Center Houston’s Crowdfunder Rockets Past Goal
Generous people around the world supported Space Center Houston’s mission to help restore NASA’s Historic Mission Control. The nonprofit’s first-ever crowdfunding campaign, "Webster Challenge: Restore Historic Mission Control,” more than doubled its initial Kickstarter goal and rocketed past the city of Webster matching funds to raise nearly $507,000. In total, $5 million is needed to restore and sustain this iconic area and, thanks to this successful campaign, Space Center Houston has raised more than $4 million toward that goal.

Miller Theatre Undergoing Improvements
After Miller Outdoor Theatre’s 2017 season came to a close, the lawn seating portion of the hill at Houston’s always-free performance venue was fenced off as it undergoes improvements, including drainage repair to the hill, waterproofing to the front of house audio booth, major sod repair, aeration and top dressing. Additional repairs include seat wall repair in the East plaza dining bosque and a new electrical power transformer.
