Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country are seeing a resurgence of interest and funding in the last few years. To support incoming freshmen students at HBCUs and to encourage them as they embark on a new chapter of their lives, The Breakfast Klub is hosting a free celebratory event, HBCU Sendoff. Approximately 150 students are expected to attend. Registration is required.
City of Houston and Bezos Academy Open Fourth Preschool in South Houston
Community members, elected officials and Bezos leadership joined Mayor Turner to celebrate the grand opening of Houston’s fourth Bezos Academy location, located within the New Hope Housing Reed Family Center in South Houston.
