On behalf of KSBJ Special Events, American Idol Alums Danny Gokey and Mandisa are coming to Houston on Saturday, September 30th for their Rise Out Of The Dark Tour. This is all part of the artists continuing to show love to Houston in the aftermath of the storm. A couple of weeks ago, both artists were a part of a benefit concert to raise money for Harvey relief.

According to the 2011-2015 ACS, US Census Bureau, Third Ward, Greater OST/South Union, Sunnyside and South Park neighborhoods have some of the highest rates of unemployment in the City of Houston. This Job Fair will address those needs by offering good paying jobs to the residents of those communities.

With tonight’s Game 7 win over the LA Dodgers, the Houston Astros are World Series Champions for the first time in franchise history. Prior to this season, the Astros had gone 55 years without a World Series Championship and had appeared in only one other World Series (2005). The Astros defeated the LA Dodgers by a score of 5-1 tonight at Dodger Stadium.
