Marsai Martin Hosts New Series that Celebrates Black Businesswomen
EBONY Media Group, the most influential Black-owned media company in the world, is pleased to announce a collaboration with Walmart to produce SHE-E-O: Business Disruptors, a custom series that celebrates leading Black female entrepreneurs and creators. The six-episode video and podcast series will feature interviews with successful businesswomen who will share their inspiring roadmap to success. Actress and producer Marsai Martin will host the series that will premiere on EBONY.com and the media company's various platforms on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Brain stimulation device enables new understanding of OCD
A team of researchers surgically implanted brain stimulators in patients with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) to not only treat their disabling symptoms but also – for the first time – to simultaneously record and wirelessly stream brain signals. All five patients, whose OCD symptoms were severe and resistant to conventional therapy, have enjoyed significant improvement. In addition, the novel recordings have helped explain the relationship between brain activity and OCD symptoms. Their findings were recently published in Nature Medicine.

Coming September, Children’s Museum Houston (CMH) will launch “All-Time Access,” an online initiative to enhance distance learning and open the Museum to families all over the world from an all-time digital landscape. Now that kids are back in school, the Museum will take a break beginning Aug. 31 to focus on “All-Time Access” and meet children and their families where they are —at school, at home, at play. But do not worry! CMH will reopen just as soon as we can come together again. The Museum had intended to remain open the entire week, but due to Hurricane Laura, CMH will close Aug. 26 and 27 with plans to reopen Aug. 28 to 30.
