On Friday, October 27, 2023, Congressman Al Green will present a symbolic check for $9,886,000 for the federal funding that the Harris County Flood Control District will receive for the South Post Oak Stormwater Detention Basin and Channel Conveyance Improvements Project. Moran was found dead Saturday by emergency responders after a dispatcher for the Harrison County, Indiana, sheriff’s department received a 911 call, the department said. The cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy is pending.

Superintendent: HISD will require masks for students and staff on the first day of school
Houston ISD announced the district will implement a mask mandate for the 2021-2022 school year. According to HISD Superintendent Millard House II, the board will support mandating masks at the beginning of the school year.
