Houston native serves aboard U.S. Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base
Airman Hunter Fahy, a native of Houston, Texas, serves the U.S. Navy assigned to Naval Air Station Oceana. Fahy joined the Navy two years ago. “I come from a military family, so I grew up wanting to serve my country,” said Fahy. “My dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncles and cousins have all served. Texas Southern University to Host “Wintermester,” Opens Registration for Spring Semester
Texas Southern University (TSU) will hold a five-week “Wintermester” beginning November 30 to give students an opportunity to take online courses during Winter Break. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sam Houston Race Park, hundreds of Girl Scout volunteers will be unloading more than 1.2 million packages of Girl Scout Cookies from dozens of semi-trucks that will line the event park. The cookies will be delivered to customers in the following days by Girl Scouts who took pre-orders in January.
