I Was Lorena Bobbitt Debuts Memorial Day 2020
Lifetime kicks off Memorial Day with the Ripped from the Headlines feature premiere of I Was Lorena Bobbitt on Monday, May 25 at 8pm ET/PT. Starring Dani Montalvo (Dispatches from Elsewhere) and Luke Humphrey (Tiny Pretty Things) as the controversial couple Lorena and John Bobbitt, the film follows Lorena's account leading up to that fateful day as Lorena also serves as executive producer and on-screen narrator. Lifetime will run a PSA for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence featuring the actors and Lorena Bobbitt, as part of Lifetime's public affairs campaign, Stop Violence Against Women.
Taft Alumnus, ‘Black Panther’ Actor Dies
Ronald Glenn "Abongo" Humphrey, an alumnus of Taft High School and actor in the 2018 blockbuster film "Black Panther," has died. A death notice from Dignity Memorial in Georgia shows Humphrey, a married father of three, died Dec. 11 at 41 years old. The notice did not specify the cause of death.

These projects were awarded from among 71 proposals to the second round of the Let Creativity Happen! (LCH) Digital competitive grant program.
