The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) today announced Steve Burnham, president of the King Soopers division, has announced his plans to retire from the organization, effective November 6. The Jackie Robinson Foundation hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for donors on April 27, 2017. The 18,500-square foot space will honor the late sports legend Jackie Robinson, who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball and played an active, pioneering role in the modern civil rights movement. “Jack lived his life with such great purpose,” said Rachel Robinson, JRF Founder and wife of Jackie Robinson. “I hope that visitors to the Museum will not only learn about his journey and experience his energy, but that they will be inspired to view each day as a chance to make a difference.”

Spring Area Dentist Wanted On Felony Child Injury Charges Surrenders
A former dentist charged felony injury to a child, turned herself in to deputies at he Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Bethaniel Jefferson, 40, who owned and operated Diamond Dental in Spring, was indicted Monday by a Harris County grand jury for intentionally and knowingly by omission causing serious bodily injury to a child by failing to seek and provide adequate medical attention.

Harmony Public Schools presented $7.5 million in bonuses to its teachers through the Texas Education Agency's Teacher Incentive Allotment program. Roughly 833 teachers across 62 campuses and 6 districts have been awarded. Nine Harmony teachers in Dallas received nearly $22,000 in bonuses.
