As the start of the second half of the season kicked off, the Houston Astros picked up right where they left off. After defeating the New York Yankees in an exhilarating six-run ninth inning comeback going into the All-Star break, Houston used that momentum and defeated one of the American League’s best team in the Chicago White Sox by a score of 7-1.

The Astros (14-10) had an offensive outburst to the tune of 13 runs and 20 hits at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado to defeat the Rockies (13-11) by a score of 13-6 for its seventh straight win and third win in as many days against Colorado.

Rookie Football Star Missing NFL Season Due to Leukemia Diagnosis

Some young men spend most of their childhood dreaming of playing in the NFL. Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III had similar dreams, but had those dreams sidelined due to an unseen illness. Metchie has been diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia — a rare form of the disease — and will not play the 2022 season, he announced Sunday.
