'The Crown' producers apologize to stars over pay controversy
The U.K. production company behind Netflix's "The Crown" has apologized to stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith for thrusting the pair into the middle of a pay equity debate after a producer revealed that Foy was paid less than Smith during the first two seasons of the show.

Governor Abbott Announces New Golden State Foods Manufacturing Facility In Burleson
Governor Greg Abbott today announced that Golden State Foods Corporation will be opening a new manufacturing and distribution facility for its Liquid Products Division in Burleson, Texas. Golden State Foods is one of the largest diversified suppliers to the Quick Service Restaurant and retail industries. The company services more than 125,000 restaurants and stores on five continents from its 50 locations. A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant offer of $900,000 has been extended to Golden State Foods contingent upon the company investing more than $19 million and the creation of 150 new jobs in Texas. The entire project, which will involve new construction and state-of-the-art design and build out is projected to exceed $70 million.
Americans See Jobs Aplenty. Good Wages? Not so much.
If you ask most Americans, finding work isn't that difficult these days. But getting paid enough to get by still remains a problem. The percentage of residents who think jobs in their area are plentiful spiked to 50% last month, the highest reading since the Pew Research Center began asking the question 16 years ago. Those perceptions match reality. In October, the unemployment rate also reached its lowest rate since 2001, and the number of people working part-time because they can't find full-time jobs is back to its pre-recession level.
