Kroger to Partner to Provide Groceries to Vulnerable Houstonians Affected by Burned Down Jim’s Grocery Store

Kroger has launched a partnership with City of Houston, the Houston Food Bank and Metro to deliver groceries directly to Houstonians in need.

Hundreds of local families in need, housebound seniors and Houstonians with disabilities will receive free groceries from Kroger this week as part of their effort to support the community affected by the recent loss of Jim’s Super Grocery Store to a fire in the South Union area of Houston.

Astros Timely Hits Leads Them To Victory Over The Rockies

The Houston Astros got a much-needed win on Tuesday night defeating the Colorado Rockies 5-0 at home to end the Rockies winning streak at four-games. They picked up their 6th shutout win of the season and remained two games ahead of the Oakland A’s in the A.L. West.
