The Trail of Lights Foundation today announces dates for the 54th annual Austin Trail of Lights, powered by H-E-B. Austin's favorite and longest-running holiday event will run Monday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 in Austin's beloved Zilker Park. Visitors seeking a first look at the Austin Trail of Lights can participate in the annual Austin Trail of Lights Fun Run on Saturday, Dec. 1.

More than 72,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2017, up nearly 7% from 2016, according to preliminary data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Family of boy who died after being left in day care bus files lawsuit

KPRC is reporting that the family of 3-year-old Raymond “R.J.” Pryer has filed a lawsuit in his wrongful death case. The toddler was left in a day care bus van last month after returning from a field trip with the Discovery Me Academy. He was left in the van for more than four hours and died of heat exhaustion.
