Today, the NBA announced that Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni was named Western Conference Coach of the Month for February. He has won the award 10 times in his career, including five times since joining Houston in 2016-17.

Tens of thousands of Houstonians have been impacted by this global disaster. With so many people still out of work, the demand for food has increased. The distribution will take place on Thursdays until further notice.

The Consulate General of India, Houston, in collaboration with Friends of Yoga, is organizing several events across Texas to celebrate the fifth International Day of Yoga (IDY). Houston will celebrate IDY on Friday, June 21 on the lush green lawns of Midtown Park (2811 Travis St., Houston, Texas 77006). The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a demonstration of some of the more difficult yoga postures (asanas) and a cultural program. Harris County Attorney Menefee Files Student Debt Relief Brief in US Supreme Court

Harris County Attorney Christian D. Menefee led Harris County in joining 40 other local governments in 23 states to file an amicus brief in Biden v. Nebraska, the case challenging the United States Department of Education’s plan to provide student debt relief of up to $20,000 per student borrower. Harris County and the other governments have sided with the Biden administration and student loan forgiveness advocates, asking the Supreme Court of the United States to undo a lower court’s order halting the administration’s plan for student loan cancellation.
