Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Chance Vaughan, from Houston, communicates with the helicopter control tower during a helicopter crash drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) as part of the U.K.-led Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Dec. 4, 2019. FOST’s training is designed to prepare all types of navy vessels and auxiliaries for peacetime, peace-support, and war-fighting operations.
